For the past ten years the internet has been a thriving business for many individual who’ve been supplying different types of media Bloggers, social networks, and overall communication.
The video explains how people have been adjusting to this new idea of the modern world of consumers and the internet. But will we really be an advanced society in the future with all this technology if most of the world will be living in poverty? I’m hopeful for the future and I want to make changes in the world in any way I can but can we really rely on corporations and governments to be ethical. I’m not being some conspiracy theorist but does everyone really think that Obama is going to change the world. The same elites are in power and Obama won't do anything about them because they got him where he is. So as far as the future goes technology will increase at its usually does with time. Ah yes, technology is at the cutting edge isn't it? Providing us with all the things we want and dream of right? At what cost? How many people in the world truly benefit from this? Where are all the resources coming from? Do we only care about the earthquake in Haiti because it's on Facebook and we can twitter our condolences? Are these social mediums really bringing together or are they just building walls between us. Materialism seems to be the true meaning of life if I follow the hegemony of advertisers as I follow my icons on these websites like twitter. This might explain how the items I own define me who I am as a human being. But these thoughts only arise when I see this video. Because this video explains how fast ten years can change with just a few little tools of the internet. And how quick these little tool can shape our lives.
